After her short nap (definitely not long enough to withstand the evening) we got her dressed and ready to go. We visited only a few neighbors to say hi and show off her costume and then came back to our house to pass out candy.
If Emma had it her way, that's what she would like to do all night long. Everytime the kids came to the door shouting "Trick-or-Treat!", Emma wanted to see what was going on. She would quickly crawl to the door and want to be picked up to see them and as soon as they left, she would cry hysterically! She loves little kids! Even when we go grocery shopping, she whips her head around anytime someone her size is around. Maybe she's trying to tell us she'd like a sibling soon..... :0
Anyway, I decided to sit on our porch swing with her and pass out candy. She loved that! And she really got excited when someone would talk to her. It was getting a little chilly for her so we moved it back into the house (which she instantly got mad at me about!) and I let her eat some honey Teddy Graham crackers that our neighbor gave her. She really enjoyed them and drinking water from my cup. Finally she became a complete basket case, so we turned off our light and got ready for bed!

It was exciting celebrating her first Halloween.....now it's time to get ready for Christmas!
